Effingham St. Anthony downed Effingham in junior high A baseball action Wednesday, 4-2.
The Bullpups tallied three runs in the top of the fourth. Effingham came back with two in the bottom of the inning before St. Anthony scored a single run in the sixth.
St. Anthony was led by Moore with a triple and two RBI and Stewart with a double.
The Mustangs were led by Lee with a triple and an RBI and Latch with a single and double.
In the B contest, the two squads played to a 4-4 tie. The Mustangs held a 1-0 lead until the third when St. Anthony tallied two. EJHS tied in the bottom of the frame. Both teams scored two in the fourth for the tie.
Matteson had a double for Effingham.

Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick edged out to a 1-0 first inning lead and went on to down Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor 11-5.
BCCH had 10 hits in the contest led by Schlanser with three singles and an RBI, W. Robertson with two singles, Collins with two singles and two RBI and Weber with two singles.
Kinkelaar had a single and two doubles for SSW.
