Teutopolis Tallies Baseball Win Over Neoga

NEOGA -- Teutopolis High School scored single runs in the second, third, fourth and fifth innings to take a 4-1 baseball victory over Neoga Thursday.

Neoga's lone run came in the fourth inning. Both teams had seven hits.

Drew Thoele led the Wooden Shoes with two doubles and an RBI while Lane Belleville had a single, double and an RBI and Carson Hartke a double. Brant Bueker was the winning pitcher, going five innings, allowing five hits, no walks and striking out eight.

Neoga was led by Caleb Hill with two singles.

At Odin

Odin claimed an 8-3 victory over Dieterich. The Movin' Maroons held a 2-0 lead in the top of the third but Odin came back to move ahead 3-2 in the bottom of the frame.

Dieterich tied the score in the fifth but Odin scored five more in the sixth for the victory. Odin had eight hits led by Herrin with a single, double and an RBI, Smith with a single, double and four RBI, Nix with two singles and an RBI and Belcher with a double and an RBI.

Dieterich was led by McClain with two singles and an RBI.
