T-town Opens High School Baseball Season With Win

TEUTOPOLIS -- Teutopolis High School opened the fall baseball season with a 9-1 victory over Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg Monday.
WSS edged out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth. But the Wooden Shoes came back in the bottom of the frame, scoring six runs. T-town then added on three more runs in the sixth.
Brock Bueker picked up the pitching win on a three-hitter.
T-town had nine hits led by Bueker with a home run and two RBI, Jansen with a single, double and an RBI, Kremer with two singles and Bueker with a double.
Windsor/Stew-Stras was led by Kramer, Overbeck and Bridges with a single each. Overbeck drove in a run.
The Shoes are back in action Wednesday against Effingham St. Anthony at Paul Smith Field. Windsor/Stew-Stras is back in action today against St. Anthony.
