Junior High School Results -- August 17

Effingham Junior High School picked up victories over Teutopolis in baseball action Wednesday.

The Mustangs won the A game 11-0 behind the no-hit pitching performance of Wolfe. Effingham had five hits led by Lee with two singles and three RBI. Cunningham had a single and drove in two runs.

In the B contest, Effingham was a 12-1 winner, scoring nine runs in the second inning. Pemberton had a double and an RBI while Budde had two singles and three RBI for the winners.

Effingham St. Anthony trailed Altamont 2-1 after two innings and 3-1 until the bottom of the sixth. The Bullpups broke loose with six runs to pull out a 7-4 victory.

Altamont outhit St. Anthony 10-3. Cripe had a single, two doubles and three RBI for Altamont while Brewer had two singles.
