Babe Ruth Prep League Tournament -- July 18

Mid-Illinois Concrete opened the evening in the Babe Ruth Prep League Baseball Tournament with a 6-3 win over Taylor Law Offices at Evergreen Hollow Park Monday.

Taylor Law moved ahead with a two-run first. Mid-Illinois tied in the fifth and took a 5-3 lead in the sixth. The squad then tacked on a final run in the seventh.

Logan Antrim led the winners with a single, double and an RBI.

Matthew Loy had two singles for Taylor Law.

In the second contest, Effingham Asphalt pounded home 11 runs for an 11-3 win over K. Wohltman Construction.

Asphalt had a three-run third, a four-run fourth then tacked on two in the fifth and one in the sixth.

Eli Moore pitched a three-hitter. Colin Felitz had a double and an RBI while Victor Bolyard added a double.

Kenan Walsh had a triple and two RBI for Wohltman.
