Tri-Power Towing edged Midland States Bank 4-3 in Junior Babe Ruth League action Monday evening at Community Park.
Tri-Power edged out to a 2-0 first inning lead then tallied a single run in the third. Midland had single runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth to knot the score at 3-3. Tri-Power scored the winning run in the bottom of the sixth.
Tri-Power had four hits, all singles by Davis Tingley, Ethan Rozene, Kiefer Bathe and Cole Marxman. Rozene and Bathe had an RBI each.
Tim Moore led Midland with two singles.
In the second contest, Sehy & Jones Optometrists and Washington Savings Bank played to an 8-8 tie due to the time limit.
Washington took a 3-0 first inning lead but Sehy & Jones came back with a run in the second and tied in the third. Washington moved ahead in the bottom of the third with three runs but Sehy & Jones took a 7-6 lead in the fourth and pushed that to 8-6 in the top of the fifth. Washington then tallied two in the bottom of the sixth to tie the score for the final time.
Sehy & Jones was led by Blake Niebrugge with a double and two RBI and Aaron Webb with two singles and two RBI.
Issac Kremer had a single, triple and an RBI while Christian Kessler added two singles, a double and two RBI for Sehy & Jones.
