Shelby County Junior Legion Posts 289-611-725 dropped a baseball doubleheader to Macon County Junior Legion in action Tuesday.
Macon County won the opener 4-3. Shelby County took a 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth but Macon County came back with two runs to pull ahead. Shelby County then tallied two for a 3-2 lead in the top of the fifth but Macon County came right back in the bottom of the frame with two runs for the win.
Shelby County's Samuel Hagerman led in hitting with a single, double and an RBI while Hutson Dickens added a double and two RBI.
In the second contest, Macon County again edged Shelby County, this time 8-7. Shelby County again took the early lead with a run in the first. Macon County tied in the second. Shelby County moved ahead 4-1 in the top of the second and led 6-4 in the fourth. Macon then tallied two in the fifth and two in the sixth for the win.
Shelby County was led by Dickens with three singles and two RBI, Hagerman with two singles and an RBI and Francisco with two singles.
