The Effingham Junior Legion Post 120 saw plenty of action over the weekend and won three out of four games against Dieterich and South Central.

On Saturday, Bryce Lohman earned the pitching victory giving up two runs over five innings while Joe Kabbes earned the save as Effingham defeated Dieterich 7-2.  In the second contest, Alex Morrissey earned the victory as Effingham won in four innings by a score of 20-0.

On Sunday, Effingham split a doubleheader against South Central as South Central scored a single run in the bottom of the seventh inning on a safety squeeze to win 1-0. Brent Beals pitched five scoreless innings and Colin Koester was the tough luck loser by surrendering the single tally in the last inning.  Effingham rebounded nicely by winning the nightcap by a score of 12-0.

Brett Koester had a single, double and home run for Post 120 while Alex Morrissey, Brent Strullmyer and Parker Seachrist all had multi-hit games.

Post 120 is now 5-5 on the season as it travels to Teutopolis Thursday.
