Cumberland Force 17U Wins Championship

Cumberland Force 17U played in the Charleston Junior Legion Tournament over the weekend.

The Force went 4-0 to capture the championship. In Friday pool play, Cumberland beat Charleston Junior Legion, 8-4. Brandon Repking was the winning pitcher and had two hits and an RBI. Justin Brown and Alex Rodriguez had a hit each. Rodriguez had three RBI and Brown one RBI.

In Saturday pool play, Cumberland downed Piatt County Junior Legion 12-11. Dalton Hendrix was the winning pitcher. Christian Kessler went three for four with two RBI while Rodriguez had two hits and three RBI and Nick Bishop a hit and two RBI.

In Sunday's semifinal game, Cumberland downed Decatur Gold Junior Legion, 6-4. Kessler went three for three with two RBI while Repking had two hits and an RBI and Justin Yurs a hit and two RBI. Kyle Sanders picked up the pitching win.

In the championship game Sunday, Cumberland beat Moultrie-Douglas Counties Junior Legion, 5-3. Isaac Kramer was the winning pitcher. Kyle Sanders, Isaac Kramer and Rodriguez had a hit and an RBI each.
