Drs. Sehy & Jones Optometrists edged Washington Savings Bank 7-6 in Junior Babe Ruth League action at Community Park Monday evening.
Washington Savings took a 1-0 first inning lead before Sehy & Jones tied in the second and pushed ahead 4-3 in the third. Washington came back with two runs to take a 5-4 lead in the fourth. Sehy & Jones then tallied three in the sixth and held on.
Sehy & Jones had only four hits in the contest led by Joseph Kabbes with a double and an RBI.
Washington Savings had five hits led by Justin Brown, Christian Kessler, Jeremiah Ulmer and Isaac Kremer with a double each. Kessler and Kremer had an RBI each.
In the second game, Tri-Power Towing broke a 1-1 tie in the fourth with six runs and claimed an 11-1 win over Midland States Bank.
Cole Maxman pitched the two-hitter. Bryson Wall had three singles for the winners while Kiefer Bathe and Davis Tingley had a double each. Bathe had two RBI and Tingley one.
Kendal Zerrusen had a triple while Timothy Magee had a double for Midland States.
