Shelby Co. Claims Two Baseball Wins

DECATUR -- Shelby County Legion Posts 289-611-725 claimed a doubleheader baseball victory over Decatur Legion Post 105 Tuesday.

Shelby County tallied a 13-1 win in six innings. Shelby County took a 4-1 first inning lead then had a six-run third and a three-run fifth.

Nic Hutchinson and Devin Deremiah provided the scoring punch for the squad. Htuchinson had three singles and drove in three runs while Deremiah had a single, double and two RBI. Josh Overbeck also produced two RBI with a single.

Jordan Hoedebecke pitched a one-hitter with two walks and six strikeouts.

Shelby County Legion claimed a 3-1 win. The two teams went scoreless through the first three innings before Shelby County took a 2-1 lead in the fifth then scored the final run in the sixth.

Hutchison had a double while Deremiah had a double and an RBI. Klaiton Wolff had two singles and an RBI.

Trevor Moore pitched a two-hitter with one walk.
