Junior Babe Ruth League -- May 31

Drs. Sehy and Jones Optometrists and Tri-Power Towing claimed Junior Babe Ruth League victories Tuesday at Community Park.

Sehy & Jones downed Midland States Bank in the opener 8-3. The two squads were tied at 1-1 after three innings. Sehy & Jones moved ahead with a three-run fourth and finished out with three runs in the seventh.

Tate Niebrugge had two singles while Kendall Ballman and Joseph Kabbes had a double each for the winners.

Dawson Smith had a double and Sam Thompson two singles for Midland States Bank.

In the second contest, Washington Savings Bank held a 3-1 lead until the seventh then Tri-Power Towing came back with four runs to pull out the 5-3 victory.

Bryton Wall had a triple while Davis Tingley had two singles for the winners.

Washington Savings Bank had three hits, all singles by Derek Kruger, Hunter Stephens and Cody Hill.
