A one-hitter for Brock Bueker and a two-homer day for Lane Belleville propelled Teutopolis High School to the championship of the Class 2A St. Anthony baseball regional as the Wooden Shoes dispatched Vandalia 10-0 in Thursday's semifinal at Evergreen Hollow Park.

After taking a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning, T-town (23-9) tallied nine runs in the third and fourth frames to set up a run-rule triumph. Bueker snagged his fifth pitching victory of the spring; he struck out five and didn't walk a man.

Belleville accounted for half of the Shoes' scoring in his 2-for-3 day, driving in five runs.

T-town will face Breese Central Saturday at Evergreen Hollow Park; game time is set for 10 a.m. Breese was an 8-3 winner over Greenville in Thursday's other semifinal.

Derek Moschenrose was the hero for Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg at the Class 1A Decatur St. Teresa Regional, where his walk-off base hit capped an 8-7 comeback victory for the Hatchets over the host school.

It was a see-saw semifinal battle; W/SS led 2-0 after an inning, but St. Teresa struck five times in the top of the third. By the end of the fourth, however, the game was a 5-5 deadlock. Each team held one more lead before going into the bottom of the seventh knotted at 7-7, when Moschenrose's game-winner punched the Hatchets' ticket to Saturday's 11 a.m. championship against Okaw Valley.

Brownstown/St. Elmo saw its season come to a close at the Class 1A Altamont Regional, where the Bombers dropped a 6-4 semifinal to North Clay.

Cole Horner, Dalton Denton and Dylan Brooks all drove in runs for BSE, which took a 3-2 lead in the second inning and held that advantage until the Cardinals struck for three scores in the home half of the fourth and another in the fifth. The Bombers came up with a one-run answer in the top of the sixth, but that wasn't enough to complete the comeback.

For BSE, the spring concludes with a 14-14 mark. North Clay moves on to Saturday's final, where it will face host Altamont at 11 a.m.
