Cal Ripken League -- May 13

Beck's Hybrids and Arab Pest Control picked up wins in the Effingham Park District 11-12 Year-Old League Friday at Community Park.

Beck's won the opener but trailed Schumacher Orthodontics 1-0 after two innings. The score was tied at 2-2 until the fifth when Beck's brought home five runs for the 7-3 victory.

Jonathan Willenborg had two singles for the winners. Gavan Wernsing led Schumacher with two singles.

In the second contest, Arab Pest Control downed Kemper CPA 11-5. Arab had a seven-run third.

Corbin Christensen had a single, double and an RBI for the winners.
