Teutopolis Pounds Williamsville, 12-2

Teutopolis High School pounded Williamsville, 12-2 in five innings of baseball competition Saturday.
The Wooden Shoes tallied seven runs in the third. Williamsville scored two in the top of the fourth but the Shoes came back in the bottom of the frame with five runs to end the contest early.
T-town had 13 hits in the game led by Cody Jansen with two doubles and five RBI, Austin Johnson with a single, double and two RBI, Jason Kenter with three singles and an RBI and Kyle Smith and Tyler Westendorf with two singles each.
Johnson was the winning pitcher, going four innings, allowing two runs on four hits with three walks. He improved his record to 4-2.
The Shoes are now 21-9 on the season while Williamsville dropped to 25-5.

At Altamont
Altamont claimed a 9-8 victory over Hillsboro.
Hillsboro held an 8-2 lead after three innings. Altamont tallied a run in the fourth, four in the sixth and pulled out the contest with two runs in the bottom of the seventh.
Miller picked up the pitching win and also had a double and an RBI. Guerettaz had a single and a double while Whitt had three singles and three RBI and Biggs two singles and two RBI.

At Newton
Newton edgeed Flora 4-3. The two teams were tied at 2-2 after four innings. Flora moved ahead with a run in the top of the fifth. The Eagles then tied in the bottom of the seventh and won it in the bottom of the eighth.
Mammoser was the winning pitcher on a one-hitter through three innings, no walks and five strikeouts.
Mammoser also had three singles and two RBI while Jansen had a double.
Newton finished the Little Illini Conference season at 9-0 and is 15-9 overall.
