CENTRALIA -- Brownstown/St. Elmo scored the first run of the game in the fourth inning and went on for a 5-1 victory over Centralia Christ Our Rock Lutheran Thursday in baseball action.
Lewis Brown picked up the pitching win, going all seven innings, allowing four hits, two walks and striking out 12.
Landon Feezel had a home run and two RBI to lead in hitting. BSE is now 12-12 on the season and will take on South Central today.

At Dieterich
Olney came calling and captured a 5-1 win over Dieterich Thursday.
The Maroons trailed 2-1 after the first. Olney then had single run in the third, fourth and sixth innings.
Dieterich had five hits, all singles by McClain, Campton, Poe, Thoele and Flach.

Greenville scored the only runs it would need in the first inning and claimed a 3-2 win over Altamont.
Greenville took a 3-1 first inning lead. Altamont came back with a run in the third but couldn't dent the plate again.
Altamont had three hits in the contest, all singles by N. Miller, Wolff and Finn.
Wolf picked up the tough-luck pitching loss by throwing a five-hitter with three walks and nine strikeouts.

At Newton
South Central handed Newton a 7-5 defeat Thursday.
The Cougars stepped out to a 4-1 first inning lead. Newton pulled within 4-3 in the fourth but South Central tacked on another run in the fifth and two in the sixith. The Eagles scored their final run in the bottom of the seventh.
Ratermann picked up the pitching win on a seven-hitter with four walks and six strikeouts.
Ratermann also aided his cause with two singles while Harmeier had three singles, R. Matheny a single, double and two RBI and Geiler a single and an RBI.
Newton was led by Bierman with a single and double. The Eagles drop to 12-7 on the season.
