CHAMPAIGN CENTENNIAL 9, ST. ANTHONY 3

St. Anthony was down 7-0 after three innings on their way to the loss Friday.

The Bulldogs scored all of their runs in the fourth inning on a three-run double by Joe Kabbes, plating Adam Levitt, James Kabbes and Brandon Puckett. 

Levitt took the loss, allowing seven runs on seven hits including a home run, and walked four. Drew Gibson pitched the final 4-2/3 innings, allowing the other two runs on six hits and two walks while fanning seven.

At the plate in addition to the Joe Kabbes double, St. Anthony got a double from Gibson, a single from Levitt, and two singles from James Kabbes.

TEUTOPOLIS 18, VANDALIA 0

A 14-run first inning made it a pretty comfortable situation for the Wooden Shoes. 

Teutopolis added a run in the second, two in the third and a run in the fourth to wrap up the five-inning win to improve to 12-5 on the spring.

Devin Smith pitched three perfect innings, striking out five, to claim the win. Kyle Smith pitched a scoreless inning, allowing two hits with a strikeout, and Austin Johnson pitched the final inning, allowing a walk and fanning a batter.

The Indians posted their ninth straight win, scoring eight times in the third inning and six more in the fourth, pounding out 14 hits in the process.

Evan Fritcher got the win, allowing just two hits. Chad Kirchhofer took the loss.
