MILWAUKEE -- The Arizona Diamondbacks tried to boost their lineup, getting former NL All-Star shortstop Jean Segura in a five-player trade with the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday.

The Diamondbacks also acquired right-hander pitcher Tyler Wagner for righty Chase Anderson, infielder Aaron Hill, minor league shortstop Isan Diaz and cash.

Arizona went 79-83 last season then signed free agent ace Zack Greinke and traded for All-Star pitcher Shelby Miller.

Diamondbacks general manager Dave Stewart said his team was "seeking a little bit more offense."

We felt there was a need to do" this deal, he said on a conference call.

The Diamondbacks ranked second among NL teams in scoring last year. They traded outfielder Ender Inciarte, who hit .303 with 21 steals, to Atlanta in the Miller deal.

The 25-year-old Segura hit .257 with six homers, 50 RBIs and 25 steals last season.

Segura was an All-Star in 2013 with Milwaukee after a big start to his first full season in the majors.

Vin Scully Announces Last Call

Hall of Fame broadcaster Vin Scully has announced his last call, at least on television, saying he intends to finish his legendary career with the Dodgers' season-ending three-game series at San Francisco.

Scully, who is entering his 67th season behind the microphone for the Dodgers, has said this would likely be his final season, but he sounded certain about that this weekend at the team's annual FanFest.

Scully's participation in road games has been limited in recent years, but the trip to the Bay Area is not the only one on his itinerary. He said he intends to call games at San Diego and the two-game May series in Anaheim against the Los Angeles Angels. He does not intend to work outside California.

"[I was] a kid who was born and raised in the streets of New York, who grew up literally and figuratively in the Polo Grounds and was a rabid Giants fan. I confess that. It's good for the soul," Scully said. "I think I would love to finish in a game between the Dodgers and Giants. God willing it will work out. We'll see, but the best-laid plans of mice and men usually go up in smoke."

The Dodgers' final three games are scheduled for Sept. 30 to Oct. 2 at AT&T Park.

Orioles Minor Leaguer Killed in Accident

Baltimore Orioles minor league infielder Ramon Ramirez was killed in a motorcycle accident on Saturday in the Dominican Republic.

"Our entire organization is deeply saddened by the sudden and tragic death of Ramon Ramirez," the team said in a statement. "As a member of the Orioles organization, Ramon worked tirelessly to make the most of his opportunity to play professional baseball. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, teammates, and coaches as we mourn this unimaginable loss."

According to MASN, Ramirez, 23, was riding with his girlfriend on the back of the motorcycle when they were struck by another vehicle. His girlfriend survived, suffering a broken leg.

Ramirez signed with the Orioles as a non-drafted free agent in 2014. He played for Class A-Advanced Frederick, Class-A Aberdeen and the Gulf Coast League in 2015.
