After one-year-plus with the St. Louis Cardinals, starting pitcher John Lackey is staying in the National League Central and joining the Chicago Cubs, according to a media report.
Fox Sports reports that Lackey has agreed to a two-year contract with the Cubs worth $32-34 million.
The deal is pending a physical, the report says.
