Teutopolis Picks Up Two Victories

Teutopolis High School claimed two victories in baseball action during the weekend.
In the first game, T-town trounced Cobden 13-3 in five innings via the 10-run rule. The score was knotted at 1-1 after the first inning. T-town then had a five-run second and tacked on two runs in the third and ended the game in the fifth with five runs.
The Wooden Shoes banged out 12 hits in the contest led by K. Pruemer with a double, home run and two RBI. C. Wendling added a double and A. Borries had a triple and two RBI.
B. Wenthe picked up the pitching win on a two-hitter.
In the second game, T-town handed Webber Township (Bluford) an 11-2 loss.
T-town stepped out to a 2-0 first inning lead and tacked on three more in the second. T-town finished out with two runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings. Webber's runs both came in the fourth.
T-town had nine hits in the contest led by D. Smith, J. Kenter and A. Borries with a double and an RBI each and R. Hardiek with a triple and an RBI.
D. Probst picked up the pitching win on a five-hitter as T-town remained unbeaten with a 16-0 record. The Shoes are back in action today against Effingham St. Anthony.
