The Chicago Cubs will begin the National League Championship Series in the Big Apple after the New York Mets defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-2 Thursday.
The win gave the Mets a 3-2 victory in the National League Division Series. The Cubs had advanced to the NLCS earlier this week by defeating the St. Louis Cardinals three games to one in the other NLDS.
Game time is 7:07pm Saturday. The game will be televised on TBS, where the Cubs-Cardinals series was seen. Jon Lester will get the Game One start for the Cubs.
Shortstop Addison Russell will not play in the NLCS after straining a hamstring earlier in the week. Javier Baez will play in his place. No replacement has yet been named for Russell on the Cubs' roster.
