SIUE Closes Fall Baseball Season With Victory

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – SIUE baseball closed out its fall season with a win against McKendree 3-1.

"I thought we pitched well tonight and we played really good defense," said Head Coach Tony Stoecklin.

Junior transfer Conner Buenger started the game and pitched two solid innings for the Cougars.

"I thought everybody came in and threw really well tonight," noted Stoecklin.

At the plate, Stoecklin noted that Brock Irwin, Keaton Wright, Eric Giltz, and Alec Skender had particularly solid at bats.

The Cougars completed a perfect fall season and return to action for the regular season in the spring. Effingham High School graduate Chase Green is beginning his senior season playing for the Cougars.
