Altamont Lutheran Wins Regional Baseball Title

Altamont Lutheran remains undefeated at 22-0 after winning its own Class S SIJHSAA regional baseball championship game Monday by downing Field, 5-0.

Hunter Brandt was the winning pitcher, throwing a one-hitter with 15 strikeouts in seven shutout innings.

The team will now move on to play Saturday against St. Ann/TSJ, an 8-6 winner over Woodlawn at the Woodlawn Regional, at 3:30 p.m. at the Class S State Tournament at Coulterville.
