NEOGA -- Teutopolis High School struck first with a run in the opening inning then went on to down Neoga 11-1 in six innings.

The Shoes brought across five runs in the second, a run in the third and two in the fourth and sixth innings. T-town had 11 hits led by B. Wenthe with a double and a grand slam home run. He finished with five RBI. J. Waldhoff had three singles while A. Goldstein and R. Hardiek had two hits each. Hardiek added an  RBI.

Neoga was led by J. Baker with three singles.

R. Ruholl and C. Wendling combined on the six-hitter with only one walk and seven strikeouts.

T-town is now 13-0 on the season while Neoga drops to 6-7-1. T-town will play host to St. Anthony Firday while Neoga is back in action Thursday at South Central.

The two teams went scoreless through three innings. Stew-Stras then took a 1-0 lead in the fourth and tacked on another run in the sixth.

The Comets had three hits in the game led by Christian Vonderheide's home run. Ben Helton pitched a five-hitter allowing no walks and striking out one.

Dieterich had five hits led by Alex Bohnhoff with two singles.

At Vandalia

Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick advanced to the championship game of the Egyptian-Illini Conference Tournament with a win over St. Elmo, 7-5.

St. Elmo held a 5-3 lead after three innings. BCCH came back and tallied two in the sixth to tie the score and won it in the eighth with two runs when A.J. Miller tripled and drove in both runs. Blake McKay had a double and a triple for the winners while Miller finished with a single, triple and two RBI. Donovan Riley added a single, triple and two RBI and Austin Rexroad three singles.

St. Elmo was led by Connor Beasley with a single, home run and two RBI and Dalton Parks with three singles. St. Elmo drops to 6-8 and will face the loser of the Brownstown/Patoka contest for third place at 4:15 p.m. Thursday.

BCCH, 4-10, will take on the winner of the Patoka/Brownstown game at 7 p.m. Thursday for the championship.

Altamont stepped out to a 2-0 first inning lead and never looked back. Borders picked up the pitching win going five innings, walking six and striking out eight.

Ziegler had two singles, a double and an RBI while Finn had two singles and two RBI.

Windsor drops to 5-3 in the National Trail Conference, 6-6 overall.

North Clay (Louisville) leaped out to a 12-0 first inning lead and ended this game in the fifth inning via the 10-run rule.

Nick McKnelly picked up the pitching win, allowing two walks and striking out five. McKnelly also banged out a home run and had three RBI while Lawson Britton had a single, home run and three RBI.
