Effingham St. Anthony edged out to a 1-0 lead over Ramsey then tallied five runs and went on for an 8-1 high school baseball victory Monday.

The Bulldogs' Bryar Jansen pitched a one-hitter with eight strikeouts. Joseph Kabbes came in to pitch the final two innings allowing no hits, one walk and striking out three.

Jansen had two hits and two RBI offensively while Will Clausius had two hits. The Bulldogs are now 6-3 on the season.

At St. Anthony

At Kinmundy

South Central High School edged ahead 1-0 in the second inning but Teutopolis came back with a seven-run third and a five-run fifth to down the homestanders 12-2 in five innings.

The Wooden Shoes had eight hits led by Austin Johnson with two singles, a double and four RBI. Devin Smith had a double and two RBI. Lane Belleville had two singles and two RBI and John Kreke had two singles.

South Central was led by McCown with two singles and Hill with a double.

At Kinmundy

At Beecher City

Brownstown/St. Elmo came calling and claimed an 8-3 win over Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick Monday.

BCCH took a 1-0 lead and held it until the fourth when BSE tied the score. BSE then pushed ahead with a five-run fifth and followed that up with two runs in the seventh.

Noah Flowers had two singles and drove in two runs for the winners. Lewis Brown had a double and Dalton Denton had a single and double. BSE improves to 1-3 in the National Trail Conference, 3-6 overall.

BCCH was led by Rexroad with a single, triple and two RBI.

Dieterich took a 3-1 first inning lead and went on for a 10-3 win over Altamont in National Trail Conference action Monday.

The Movin' Maroons tallied five runs in the fourth. Poe led the winners with a single, double and four RBI while Campton had two doubles and an RBI. Goedde contributed two singles.

Altamont was led by C. Miller with a double, Finn with a double and an RBI and Guerrettaz with two singles.
