Dieterich Claims DH Over Brownstown/St. Elmo

DIETERICH -- Dieterich High School picked up a doubleheader baseball victory over Brownstown/St. Elmo Saturday.
Dieterich won the opener 4-1, taking a 1-0 first inning lead and tacking on the other three runs in the second. Mitchell Esker picked up the pitching win on a five-hitter with two strikeouts.
Goedde had a single and double for the winners. Dalton Denton had two singles for SEB.
In the second game, the Movin' Maroons won 6-2. Dieterich broke a 1-1 tie in the fourth with three runs and tacked on two more in the sixth.
Bryce McClain went five innings, allowing one run, three hits and striking out five. Poe had a double while McClain had two singles for Dieterich.
