Junior High Baseball -- Sept. 9

For the second game in a row, Effingham St. Anthony Junior High School stepped out to a 2-0 first inning lead and claimed a 7-4 victory, over Sullivan Wednesday. But this time around, the Bullpups had to go into the eighth inning before pulling out the win.

Tuesday, St. Anthony beat Mount Zion 7-4. This time around, Sullivan took a 4-2 lead into the seventh. St. Anthony made a big comeback, scoring two runs to knot the score sending the game into the extra inning. In the eighth, the Bullpups pushed across three runs for the victory.

Braunecker had a double, triple and two RBI for the winners. Moore added two singles and Ashton a double.
