Class 1A Effingham St. Anthony Regional
St. Anthony captured the championship of its own regional with an 8-2 victory over St. Elmo Monday.
The Bullpups edged out to a 2-0 first inning lead then pushed that to 5-0 in the third. St. Elmo tallied two in the top of the fourth but the Bullpups scored single runs in the fourth, fifth and six innings.
Jansen led the Bullpups with three singles, a double and two RBI. Gibson added two singles, a double and three RBI. Puckett had a double and three RBI and Blanchette three singles. Ethan Greene pitched a five-hitter with eight strikeouts.
St. Elmo was led by Siebert with two singles and Sperry with a double and an RBI.
St. Anthony, now 9-7, advances to the St. Elmo Sectional Saturday against Findlay Okaw Valley at 11 a.m. The winner advances to the state tournament.

Class 1A Findlay Okaw Valley Regional
Findlay Okaw Valley picked up the championship of its own regional by downing Stewardson-Strasburg 8-1.
Okaw Valley took the early 3-0 lead and never looked back. Okaw Valley had six hits, three by Hagerman with two RBI. Fritz had two hits and an RBI.
Stew-Stras was led by Nichols with three hits. Stew-Stras ends the season with a 12-3 record.
Findlay Okaw Valley advances to meet St. Anthony Saturday in the St. Elmo Sectional at 11 a.m.

Class 2AA Teutopolis Regional
Teutopolis blanked Altamont to claim its own regional title, 6-0.
T-town had nine hits in the contest and edged out to a 1-0 first inning lead then added on four in the fourth and a final run in the seventh.
Blake Mette had a single, triple and an RBI while Kyle McMahon added two singles and an RBI. Lane Belleville pitched 6 2/3 innings allowing one hit, five walks and striking out seven.
Teutopolis will now face Jasper County, a 6-0 winner over Lawrenceville Parkview in its own regional, at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Casey-Westfield Sectional.

Class 2A Newton Regional
Jasper County blanked Lawrenceville Parkview, 6-0 to nab it's own regional championship.
Jasper County took a 1-0 lead in the fifth and tallied four more in the sixth. Lucas Geier pitched the win with a one-hitter, four walks and nine strikeouts. Tim Weber had two singles and a double for the winners while Nate Meinhart had a single and triple.
Jasper County advances to the Casey-Westfield Sectional Saturday to face Teutopolis at 11 a.m.

North Clay (Louisville) finished regular season play with a 14-2 record by downing Sandoval 13-3 in Monday action and blasting Iuka 20-2 in Friday play.
In Monday's game, North Clay had 10 hits in the contest led by M. Lovett with three hits and an RBI and B. Repking with two hits and three RBI.
In Friday's game, North Clay had 12 hits in the contest led by Repking with three hits and three RBI and Walker with two hits and five RBI, Aldrich with two hits and an RBI and Lovett with two hits and an RBI.
