NEOGA -- Effingham St. Anthony trailed Neoga in junior high baseball action Thursday 1-0 until the third then broke loose with five runs. Neoga pulled within 5-4 in the bottom of the inning before the Bullpups held an 8-6 lead going into the sixth then tacked on three more runs and one in the seventh for a 12-6 win.
Moore pitched five innings, allowing six runs, three walks and striking out seven for the win. Hoene came on in the fifth and finished out the game, allowing one hit, one walk and striking out four.
Braunecker had a single, double and three RBI for the winners. Tingley added two singles and two RBI and Antrim two singles. Webb and Moore had a double each. Webb drove in two runs.
Neoga was led by Moore with two singles and an RBI and Kingery with a double and an RBI.

Charleston came calling and claimed an 11-3 win over Effingham. Charleston scored all 11 runs in two innings, eight in the fourth and three in the fifth.
Effingham had only three hits led by Whitten with a triple and two RBI. The Mustangs drop to 0-3 in the Apollo Conference, 6-6 overall.

Salem Franklin Park held a 1-0 lead until the third inning when Teutopolis brought home three runs. The Wooden Shoes went on for an 11-1 win in five innings via the 10-run rule in A action.
T-town had nine hits led by Hemmen with two doubles, Hardiek and Ungrund with two singles and an RBI each and Schwerdt with a double and four RBI.
In the B contest at Sigel, St. Michael claimed a 2-1 win over Teutopolis. St. Michael held a 1-0 lead until the fifth when T-town knotted the score. St. Michael then scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh.
C. Fearday had a double and an RBI for the Sharpshooters. K. Fearday pitched the win, allowing four hits, one walk and striking out 11.

Altamont had three four-run innings for a 12-1 victory over Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick.
Delaney, Cripe, Brewer and Buennemeyer had two singles each for the winners. Delaney and Brewer had two RBI each and Cripe one RBI. Reardon had a triple and three RBI. Altamont improves to 8-4 on the season.
Lowry had a double for BCCH.

North Clay (Louisville) brought home 21 runs and had 16 hits in trouncing Cisne 21-2. Cisne finished with 11 errors.
Bible had a single, double, triple and four RBI for the winners while Clifton had a single, double and two RBI, Jones two doubles and two RBI, McCrary 2 singles, a double and two RBI. Burkett and D. Weidner had a double each. Weidner added an RBI.
Burkett pitched a two-hitter with three walks and 11 strikeouts.
