Effingham St. Anthony's Moore and Ashton combined to pitch a no-hitter as the Bullpups handed Oblong a 15-0 loss in five innings of junior high baseball action Monday.

Moore threw four innings, allowing three walks and striking out seven. Ashton came on in the final inning, allowing one walk.

St. Anthony took a 3-0 first inning lead and had a nine-run fourth. The Bullpups had seven hits led by Braunecker with a single, double and three RBI, Hoene with two singles and two RBI and Walsh with a double and two RBI.

Effingham stepped out to a 3-0 first inning lead. Salem Franklin Park knotted the score in the top of the third. The Mustangs then scored four runs in the bottom of the inning for an 8-4 victory.

Kyle Pemberton had a single, double and two RBI for the winners. Parker Wolfe had two singles and an RBI. The Mustangs improve to 3-4 on the season.

Shelbyville Moulton played host to Altamont and claimed a 6-0 victory behind a nine-hit attack.

Altamont had one hit in the contest, a single by Moore. Altamont drops to 5-2 on the season.

At Odin

North Clay (Louisville) had a nine-run third and an eight-run seventh in trouncing Odin 23-7. North Clay banged out 22 hits in the contest.

Jones had a home run and three RBI for the winners while Zimdars and Fleener had two singles, a double and an RBI each. Clifton had three singles, two triples and six RBI. Burkett added a double and Bible had three singles and three RBI.

Teutopolis edged out to a 3-2 first inning lead. Okaw Valley tied the score in the second. T-town then took a 6-3 lead in the third and never looked back in a 10-6 win.

M. Deters had a single, triple and two RBI for the Shoes while Niebrugge had two singles and two RBI and Wermert three singles and an RBI.

Sigel St. Michael had a six-run sixth inning to pull out a 10-6 win over Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick.

St. Michael led 1-0 after one inning. BCCH came back to lead 2-1 in the top of the third. St. Michael tied in the bottom of the inning. BCCH pushed ahead 6-4 in the fifth but St. Michael had the big inning in the sixth.

Bushue had a single, home run and an RBI for BCCH. Manley had a home run and three RBI. Brummer added two doubles and an RBI.

St. Michael was led by K. Fearday with a single, double and two RBI, Walker with a single, double and three RBI and A. Fearday with a single and double.
