Junior High Baseball from Friday, August 21

Effingham St. Anthony handed Dieterich a 12-1 loss in Friday junior high baseball action Friday.

St. Anthony took a 3-0 first inning lead and had a six-run third and a three-run fourth.

Tingley had a single, double and two RBI while Braunecker had a single, double and an RBI. Webb added two singles and two RBI and Antrim a triple.

Dieterich had three singles by Garbe, Hall and Niebrugge.

Effingham Sacred Heart claimed a 9-6 win over Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor Friday.

Stew-Stras/Windsor held a 4-0 lead until the fifth inning when Sacred Heart broke loose with nine runs. Stew/Stras/Windsor then attempted a comeback bid in the seventh, scoring two runs, only fall short.

Sacred Heart had five hits from Brummer, Bowlin, Conkling, Feldhake and Bueker. Feldhake had two RBI while Bowlin, Conkling and Swingler had one each. Stew-Stras/Windsor was led by Lecrone and Kirby with two hits each. Lecrone had two RBI and Kirby one.
