Effingham St. Anthony took a 1-0 first inning lead and went on to blank Effingham 10-0 in junior high boys baseball competition Thursday.
The Bullpups had a four-run third and a five-run fourth.
Hoene picked up the two-hit pitching win, allowing no walks and striking out four. Antrim had a triple while Tingley added two singles.
Kalber had a double for the Mustangs who drop to 1-2 on the season.

Teutopolis picked up A and B victories over Mount Zion.
In the A contest, Teutopolis won 9-3. T-town had a 3-0 lead in the second and led 5-0 after three innings. The Shoes had 11 hits led by Addis with a single, double and an RBI, Ungrund with two singles and two RBI, Schwerdt with two singles and an RBI, M. Deters with a home run and three RBI and Hemmen with a home run, and an RBI.
In B action, T-town was a 10-5 winner behind a 10-hit attack. Mount Zion held a 4-0 lead until the fourth when T-town tallied seven runs.
Niebrugge had a single, double and two RBI while Wermert and D. Deters had a triple each. Deters added an RBI. Overbeck had a double and two RBI.

Patoka went the distance in edging North Clay (Louisville) 14-13. Patoka held a 4-1 lead after two innings. North Clay took a 5-4 lead in the third. Patoka pushed ahead 11-6 in the fifth.
North Clay came back with four runs in the top of the sixth but Patoka scored three in the bottom of the frame for a 14-10 lead. North Clay attempted a comeback in the seventh only to fall a run short.
Jones had two singles, a home run and an RBI for North Clay while Clifton had a single, double, triple and four RBI. Ingram had a single and triple and Fleener a double.

Cripe had two singles and a double for the winners while Moore added two singles and an RBI. Altamont is now 5-1 on the season.
