T-town Downs South Central, Area Roundup

LOUISVILLE -- Teutopolis High School handed South Central a 13-6 defeat to improve to 12-0 on the season at the North Clay (Louisville) Showcase Saturday.
South Central held a 3-1 lead until the third when the Wooden Shoes tied the score. T-town then brought home five runs in the fourth and went on for the seven-run victory.
T-town had 14 hits in the contest led by K. Pruemer with a double, home run and four RBI and J. Waldhoff with a double, home run and six RBI. R. Hardiek added two singles.
South Central was led by N. Powless with a solo home run and K. Bray with two singles and two RBI.
Altamont handed North Clay (Louisville) a 3-1 loss. The Indians tallied a run in the first inning then took a 2-0 lead in the second and a 3-0 lead in the third. North Clay scored its only run in the fifth.
Finn led Altamont in hitting with a single, double and two RBI while Scholes had a solo home run. Delaney chipped in with two singles.
North Clay had three hits with Micklautz garnering a double.

At Mattoon
Putnam County handed Stewardson-Strasburg a 9-4 loss in action at Grimes Field in Mattoon Saturday.
Putnam County took a 3-0 first inning lead and pushed that to 4-0 in the top of the third. Stew-Stras then came back with four runs in the bottom of the third to tie the score. Putnam County then had a three-run sixth and a two-run seventh.
Stew-Stras was led by Theis with two hits and an RBI.

At Windsor
Windsor downed Ramsey 10-1 in its own invitational Saturday. In the second contest, Putnam County was a 10-2 winner over the Blue Devils.
Windsor took a 4-1 first inning lead on Ramsey and never looked back in the win. Warner picked up the pitching victory on a two-hitter with three walks and six strikeouts. Hubbartt led the Blue Devils with a single, double and two RBI.
In the second ocntest, Putnam County stepped out to a 5-2 first inning lead and never looked back. Leading Windsor was Cole with a home run and two RBI.
