Washington Savings Bank Claims Jr. Babe Ruth Tourney Title

Washington Savings Bank stepped out to a 3-0 first inning lead and went on to beat Sehy & Jones 5-1 to claim the Junior Babe Ruth League Tournament championship Wednesday at Paul Smith Field.

Sehy & Jones scored its only run in the second. Washington Savings Bank added runs in the sixth and seventh.

Lee Hardiek picked up the pitching win on a four-hitter. Collin Kreke came on for the save.

Bryar Jansen had a single, triple and two RBI to guide the winners offensively. Liam Hammer led Sehy & Jones with two singles.
