Junior Babe Ruth League Tournament -- July 20

Sehy & Jones and Washington Savings Bank moved into the championship game of the Junior Babe Ruth League Tournament Monday evening at Paul Smith Field.

Sehy & Jones edged Mid-Illinois Bank 4-3 in the opener Monday. Sehy & Jones led 1-0 after one inning. Mid-Illinois came back with three runs in the third to lead. But Sehy & Jones tied the score in the bottom of the inning then tallied the winning run in the fifth.

Zak Lee had a double, home run and three RBI for the winners. Dylan Bushur had a double.

Washington Savings Bank then claimed a 5-3 win over Midland States Bank. Midland States held a 1-0 lead until the third when Washington Savings scored all five of its runs.

Quincy Aldrich had a single, double and two RBI for the winners. Bryar Jansen added a triple.

Sehy & Jones will now meet Washington Savings Bank at 7 p.m. Wednesday for the championship.
