Top-seeded Newton Post #20 posted a 7-3 over Vandalia Post #95 Friday in action at the Junior American Legion District Tournament. The game was played at Newton.

Altamont played South Central Friday at Dieterich and won, then faced Olney and lost 7-1.

Tournament action Saturday and Sunday will all be played in Dieterich. Here's the Saturday schedule:

4:30pm--9am winner vs. 11:30am loser
