11-12 Year-Old League Tournament -- July 15

NAPA and Kemper CPA will play for the championship of the 11-12 Year-Old League Tournament after garnering victories Wednesday evening at Community Park.

In the opening contest, NAPA was a 7-3 winner over Dairy Queen with a big five-run third inning. NAPA had only one hit in the contest, a single and an RBI by Cripe. NAPA broke a 1-1 tie with the five-run third.

Jacob Briggerman had a solo home run for Dairy Queen while Wernsing and Walsh had a double each.

In the second contest, Kemper CPA defeated Schumacher Orthodontics 8-1. Schumacher took a 1-0 lead in the second and held it until the fourth when Kemper tied the score. Kemper then had a seven-run fifth inning.

Eli Moore had a two-run homer. Felitz added a double and three RBI and Loy two singles for the winners.

Lee led Schumacher with two singles.

Kemper CPA meets NAPA at 7:30 p.m. today for the championship. The third place contest at 5:30 will feature Schumacher against Dairy Queen.
