Effingham St. Anthony High School remained unbeaten in National Trail Conference baseball action Tuesday by downing Neoga 6-2. The Bulldogs are now 4-0 in the conference, 9-0 overall.
Zach Gardewine pitched the five-hitter and Ben Hecht earned his third save.
Neoga held a 2-0 lead after the first inning. The Bulldogs tallied a run in the third then took a 5-2 lead in the fifth. St. Anthony tacked on a final run in the sixth. St. Anthony had eight hits in the contest.
The Bulldogs return to action at Dieterich Thursday in a 7 p.m. contest and will be home Friday at 4:30 p.m. against Altamont.

Altamont 10, St. Elmo 1
Altamont led 4-1 after five innings then had a six-run sixth inning to put the contest away.
The Indians had six hits led by Finn with a double and a home run. Delaney and Ziegler added a double each. Altamont was aided by nine St. Elmo errors.
St. Elmo drops to 2-3 in the National Trail Conference, 5-4 overall and will resume a suspended game Thursday against Brownstown.

Windsor 5, Stew-Stras 4
This contest went eight innings before Windsor pulled out a one-run victory over Stew-Stras.
Stew-Stras took the early 1-0 lead in the second and led 4-3 after three. Windsor tied in the fifth and the scoring ended until the seventh.
White led the Blue Devils with three hits and an RBI while Warner had two hits and two RBI. Allen picked up the pitching win.

Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick dropped a 6-1 loss to Patoka. BCCH and Patoka were tied at 1-1 after three innings. Patoka took a 2-1 lead in the fourth then tallied two more in the fifth and sixth innings.
BCCH had four hits, all singles by Blake McKay, Joel Wheeler, A.J. Miller and Wyatt Giles. The Eagles drop to 2-3 in the Egyptian-Illini Confernce, 2-9 overall. BCCH is back in action Thursday hosting Neoga at 4:30 p.m.
