Babe Ruth Prep League Results -- June 23

The Warriors captured an 11-5 win over JCR Carpentry in the first game of Babe Ruth Prep League action Tuesday at Evergreen Hollow Park Tuesday.

The Warriors edged out to a 2-0 first inning lead then tallied three in the third, two in the fourth and four in the sixth. Mitch Hardiek led the Warriors with a single and double.

Sam Thompson led JCR Carpentry with two singles.

In the second contest, Effingham Asphalt edged Taylor Law 5-4. Asphalt held a 4-2 opening inning lead. Taylor Law tied in the top of the sixth but Asphalt scored the winning run in the bottom of the frame.

Both teams had five hits. Carson Utz, Tate Niebrugge, Kollin Waymoth, Justin Buennemeyer and Austin Huebner had a single each for the winners.

Davis Tingley and Logan Brown had a double each for Asphalt.
