Shelby County Legion Splits Wins

Shelby County Legion Posts 289-611-725 split victories during the weekend. Shelby County blanked Lincoln Legion Post 263, 6-0.

Shelby County took a 1-0 lead in the second and was never headed. Tyler Hendryx picked up the pitching win, going five innings, allowing one hit, seven walks and striking out six.

Christian Vonderheide had the only extra base hit of the game, a double. Jacob Kramer added two singles.

In the second game against Rantoul Legion Post 287, Shelby County fell 5-4. Shelby County held a 1-0 lead in the first. Rantoul tied in the second. Shelby County regained the lead in the third. Rantoul then tallied three in the fifth and scored what would prove to be the winning run in the seventh.

Shelby County had seven hits led by Alex Allen with a triple.
