Babe Ruth Prep League Results -- June 4

JCR Carpentry blanked Effingham Asphalt 14-0 in Babe Ruth Prep League competition Thursday at Evergreen Hollow Park.

JCR edged out to a 1-0 first inning lead then had a five-run second and a six-run third. JCR was led in hitting by  Aaron Kirby with a single and an inside-the-park home run with two runners on.

Tate Niebrugge led Effingham Asphalt with two singles.

In the second contest, the Falcons outlasted Taylor Law with a 28-11 victory. The Falcons led 6-1 after the first inning then had a 12-run third and a 10-run fifth.

The Falcons had 12 hits in the contest led by Evan Addis with three singles and Kolten Koester, Hayden Ruholl and Brock Vogt with two singles each.

Davis Tingley had two singles and a double while Mayah Goss had two singles for Taylor Law.
