KC Posts Win at District Championship Tourney

Kaskaskia College of Centralia posted a first round win Friday, downing South Suburban of Chicago, 5-0, at the Northern District Championship Tournament, being held at KC.

KC is supposed to play sometime Saturday, although the rainy weather is not cooperating.

Teutopolis graduate Mitch Koester is the head coach at KC, now in his seventh season. 

Local players on the Kaskaskia squad include sophomore Jared Waldhoff of Teutopolis, a member of the pitching staff, as well as four freshmen. They include pitchers Darren Probst and Andy Borries of Teutopolis, third baseman Alex Allen of Windsor, and pitcher Alex Hoelscher of St. Anthony.
