Effingham St. Anthony edged Neoga 7-6 in baseball competition Wednesday.

The Indians held a 2-0 first inning lead but St. Anthony came back with three runs in the second inning and led 5-3 after three and 6-3 after six.

Neoga knotted the score in the top of the seventh. The game went through the eighth and ninth before the Bulldogs tallied a run in the bottom of the 10th for the win.

Zach Gardewine had a double and five RBI for the Bulldogs. Drew Gibson was the winning pitcher on an eight-hitter.

At Effingham

At Teutopolis

The Wooden Shoes took a quick 3-0 lead and went on for a 7-3 win over Paris Wednesday.

T-town had eight hits in the contest led by Mette with a single, home run and four RBI while Hartke had a home run and two RBI and Niemerg two doubles.

Koester picked up the pitching win, going six innings, allowing three hits, two runs, three walks and three strikeouts. Koester is now 2-0 on the season.

T-town improved to 18-4-1 while Paris dropped to 19-7.

North Clay (Louisville) blanked Flora 5-0. The two teams were scoreless through three innings. North Clay led 1-0 after four innings then tacked on four runs in the sixth.

McNeely was the winning pitcher on a four-hitter with four strikeouts. Byers, Stinnett, McNeely and Repking had a single each. Repking and Warren had an RBI each.
