Bulldogs Blank S'ville, Altamont, Neoga Nab Baseball Wins

SHELBYVILLE -- Effingham St. Anthony edged out to a 2-0 first inning lead then tallied single runs in the second and fifth to blank Shelbyville 4-0 in baseball competition Monday.
The Bulldogs had only three hits in the contest, all singles by Drew Gibson, James Kabbes and Bryar James. James and Kabbes had an RBI each.
Zach Gardewine picked up the pitching win on a two-hitter.

Altamont trailed Patoka 1-0 until the third then had a 13-run inning and went on for a 16-1 win in five innings.
The Indians had nine hits in the contest led by Wolff with three singles and an RBI and J. Miller with two singles, a double and five RBI.
J. Miller picked up the pitching win on a two-hitter with 10 strikeouts.

Brownstown/St. Elmo came calling and claimed a 4-2 win over Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg.
BSE led 1-0 until WSS tied in the second. BSE then scored three in the top of the seventh. WSS made a comeback bid with a run in the bottom of the frame, but fell short. BSE improves to 8-10.
Both teams had seven hits. BSE was led by Landon Feezel with two singles and two RBI. WSS was led by Warner, Moschenrose and Ohnesorge with a double each. WSS drops to 11-12 on the season.

The Indians held a 3-0 first inning lead and never looked back. Hodebecke picked up the pitching win on a nine-hitter with two strikeouts.
