Effingham St. Anthony and Dieterich went scoreless through three innings before the Bulldogs tallied three in the bottom of the fourth and that's where the scoring ended in a 3-0 baseball win Monday.
It was a pitcher's duel as Zach Gardewine went the distance with a one-hitter, one walk and five strikeouts. Alex Bohnhoff suffered the loss on a three-hitter with one walk and five strikeouts.
Braden Puckett led the Bulldogs with two singles. Thoele had the lone hit for Dieterich with a single.

South Central stepped out to an early 3-0 lead and held that lead until the fourth when Teutopolis tied. The Wooden Shoes then had two-run innings in the fifth and sixth for a 7-4 victory.
South Central outhit T-town with 11 hits. Harmeier and Powless had three singles each. Powless added an RBI. Geiler had two singles and an RBI. The Cougars drop to 11-5.
T-town was led by Brock Mette with a single, home run and two RBI, Louis Niemerg and Jordan Thoele with a double and an RBI each. Devin Smith added two singles. The Shoes are 12-4-1.

Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick jumped out to a 4-0 first inning lead and went on for an 11-1 win over Ramsey in five innings via the 10-run rule.
Cody Grove pitched a six-hitter with one walk and five strikeouts. Austin Rexroad, Cody Grove and Austin Shelton had two singles each. Rexroad had three RBI and Grove one RBI.
BCCH is now 2-8 on the season.

The Eagles took a 1-0 first inning lead. Olney tied in the top of the fifth but Newton scored to take a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the frame. Olney tied in the top of the sixth. Newton then tallied the winning run in the bottom of the seventh.
Mitch Bierman had two singles for the winners.
