Hearts Beat Dieterich, Cougars Nab Baseball Win

Effingham stepped out to a 7-0 first inning lead in baseball action and went on to beat Dieterich 17-2 in five innings via the 10-run rule Monday.
The Hearts banged out 16 hits in the game led by Carter Hayes with two home runs and seven RBI, Braydon Bone with two doubles and two RBI, Blake White with a single, double and four RBI, Buhrman with a double, Brennan Poland with two singles and two RBI and Graham with two singles.
Dieterich was led by Shoemaker and Thoele with a single and an RBI each.

South Central stepped out to an early lead and went on for a 9-1 victory over Odin.
The Cougars held a 3-0 first inning lead. Odin tallied its lone run in the third. Ryan Matheny picke up the pitching win, going five innings, allowing three hits and striking out six.
Dylan Smith went four-for-four at the plate with four singles and an RBI. Dre Hill had three singles and three RBI while Gavin Ratermann had three singles.
South Central is now 6-1 on the season.
