GREENVILLE -- Greenville High School edged out to a 1-0 first inning lead but Teutopolis came back with a six-run second and went on for an 8-2 victory in baseball action Thursday.

The Wooden Shoes had 11 hits in the contest led by Thoele with two singles and an RBI, Mette and D. Smith with a single, double and an RBI each. Roepke chipped in with a double and two RBI.

K. Smith picked up his first pitching win, going six innings allowing five hits, two runs and striking out five.

Coach Justin Fleener's crew is now a perfect 5-0 on the season.

At Greenville

Charleston took a 6-0 second inning lead and went on for an 11-0 win over Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg in six innings.

The Trojans had eight hits in the contest led by Blane Crews with a single, double and two RBI and Dallas Wilson with two singles and four RBI.

Nic Hutchinson led WSS with a double.

Newton edged Olney 4-3 in action Thursday.

The two teams went scoreless through four innings before Olney took a 3-0 lead in the fifth. Newton waited until the final inning before scoring four runs to pull out the victory.

Newton had five hits led by Weber with two singles and Bierman with a double and an RBI.
