Effingham St. Anthony High School got good pitching and hit the ball well in a 14-4 romp over Robinson in baseball competition Tuesday.
The Bulldogs edged out to a 1-0 first inning lead. Branden Puckett singled and eventually scored on an error.
But Robinson came back with a three-run second to take the lead. That didn't last long. The Bulldogs brought home three runs in the bottom of the second, then tacked on four in the third, three in the fourth and three in the sixth to end the game 14-4 via the 10-run rule.
Lorenz had a single and double for the winners while Puckett also had a single and double. Jansen added two singles and Kabbes a double. The Bulldogs drew 11 walks in the contest and Robinson made four errors.

At Louisville
North Clay (Louisville) picked up a 13-3 win over Brownstown/St. Elmo in five innings via the 10-run rule Tuesday.
The Cardinals edged out to a 1-0 first inning lead then had a four-run third. BSE came back with three runs in the fourth but North Clay led 6-3 after four and then ended the game with a seven-run fifth.
North Clay's Byers went four-for-four at the plate with three singles and a double. Cox had a single and double, Warren three singles and Repking two singles.
Lewis Brown and Noah Flowers had a single each for BSE. Flowers added an RBI. The Bombers drop to 0-1 on the season. North Clay is now 4-1.
