Teutopolis High School handed Mulberry Grove a 13-2 loss in baseball action Thursday evening.

The Wooden Shoes banged out 10 hits in the contest. J. Ungrund came on in relief of W. Beck and picked up the pitching win going 3.1 innings allowing no hits and striking out eight.

M. Gillespie led the Shoes in hitting with two and drove in a run. D. Smith and J. Kenter also drove in two runs.

South Central 15, Beecher City 2

South Central pushed across six runs in the first inning and went on to down Beecher City 15-2 in five innings via the 10-run rule.

The Cougars had an eight-run second inning. Noah Powless pitched a three-hitter with one walk and six strikeouts to improve to 2-0. Powless, Kyle Bray and Dan Diss had two singles each. Powless and Bray had an RBI while Diss had three RBI. Austin Schwarm had a single, double and three RBI.

Blake McKay and Donovan Riley led Beecher City with a double. McKay drove in a run. The Eagles fall to 0-3 in the National Trail Conference, 1-4 overall and are back in action today at Neoga.
