Chase Green Ties SIUE School Record

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Senior Chase Green tied the school record for longest hitting streak Saturday, but Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville dropped a pair of baseball games, 2-0 and 7-0, on the road at Arkansas-Little Rock. SIUE (0-8) remains winless on the season while UALR improved to 3-4.

Green, who finished the 2014 season on a 17-game hitting streak, singled in the sixth inning of the first game to extend his season hitting streak to seven games and tie the record of 24 games. Howver, Green went 0-for-3 in game two, ending the hitting streak.
